Welcome to the Guild of Bangladeshi Restaurateurs web page.The GBR ( Indian Restaurant Trade Association) was founded in 1994. It is a national organisation with branches all over United Kingdom, Scotland and Wales.

As the national trade association for Indian and Bangladeshi restaurants and caterers, UK based, our primary role is to lobby government across the UK , representing the views of the industry The Association has a membership of over 2500. 

For over 40 years Bangladeshi chefs and restaurateurs have been serving delicious food prepared to the highest standards. Today there are over 9,500 Indian restaurants in the UK serving over three million meals a week. We employing in excess of 70,000 people, and is a powerful lobbying voice in both the UK & Bangladesh.

The aims and objectives of the Guild are the promotion and improvement of the standards of Indian & Bangladeshi restaurants Great Britain,  Branch activities include formal meetings, seminars and study catering supplier’s demonstrations and exhibitions and social events

For members: the website gives you the opportunity to keep up-to-date with current issues including regular updates on forthcoming legislation and 'members only' guidance on many topics. You can also find out about the latest membership benefits designed to save you time and money as well as details of forthcoming social events and regional conferences
